Sam Naylor, Head of Financial Reporting at Gazprom Marketing & Trading will explain the hedging program used at the trading arm of one of the world's largest energy companies, and Craig Kennedy, Director and subject matter expert at Ernst & Young will discuss commodity hedging more generally and the future of Hedge Accounting. About The Speakers
Sam leads the financial reporting function at Gazprom Marketing & Trading (GM&T). GM&T is the global trading and western European retail energy arm of the world’s largest gas company, headquartered in Russia. Sam has a technical accounting background from his time in Deloitte LLP’s financial instruments solutions group, and is now using these skills at GM&T to manage and control the financial reporting implications of the group’s commodity hedging practices.



Craig is a Director in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services Group in London. He is a technical accounting expert who specialises in the accounting for financial instruments. Craig has been involved in providing technical accounting advice, hedge accounting strategies and quantitative support for financial instruments to a wide range of Corporate and Banking clients.
His experience has been obtained in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Spain, Greece, United States of America and South Africa.
